Infinitesimally small intervals

To make sense of physical/chemical processes to our gross sense of perception we often came across this term 'Infinitesimally small intervals'. We assumed a tiny - almost tending to zero - interval and integrated the small changes happening in that smallest interval over a considerably perceivable range. In reality we observe that no process is continuous and there are periods of activity and periods of apparent stillness.
Now, if we observe our own perception of time, we say that we performed such and such activity within some amount of time. So if we investigate what is the smallest interval of time that is actually perceivable to us - is it a second? Not really. Because we are aware even between the seconds. If one carefully investigates this, one might discover that we are actually continuously aware. This is such a wonderful experience and a ground breaking discovery. It is seen that the awareness itself is not at all affected by time. And it is seen that the smallest amount of time perceivable to us is timelessness itself. To experience this timelessness is to experience the truth. As Krishna discusses truth with Arjuna, he makes a beautiful exposition that  'that, that is changeless is the truth'. This is not a matter of philosophizing but something to be verified experientially.
All that we regard as graceful is so because it has been punctuated by this timelessness, by truth. A bird is graceful because when it is still it is still and when moving it is moving. A graceful dancer for example is so because of the smoothness of their movements. There are no jerks in the movement. It is as if they have reduced the least perceivable time to such a small degree that they are established in the timeless. The curve of the movement vs time in their dance is smoothed out and it is continuous. One can verify this grace by a simple movement of hand. When moving the hand in front of the face for example - if one can only 'see' the hand at all points in the space- continuously - actually seeing the hand and not making mental images and concepts about it - one will see what I am trying to say here. Whatever act is performed in awareness becomes graceful. This awareness, this presence is through which all the ingenuity is actually arising. By being in touch with this, by tapping into it consciously one realizes that this is the real identity of our being. And all the suffering and misery arises in life because of not recognizing this eternal truth of life. More on this later....

Full moon vibes

I will let you look at me
Without the social norms of
Needing to look away constantly
You can lay your eyes on me
And I will close mine

If you could see my form
Without naming it
You will see my beauty and all the glory
You will see in me what I see in you

After all the things said
All the laughs laughed
Let's not hide behind our compulsive defenses
Let's drop the final guard

Let's create a space for truth and trust
Let's move from relating to communion
Basking in each other's presence
Understanding the most intimate, silent love

The Mystic said
'Wear your body and mind a little loose'

How much I love him

That I wore the body loose
I wore the mind loose

And got a taste of myself

Who among this intellectual crowd
Would pay attention to such trivial words

He is giving away his bounty
All the sweet secrets

The gates are being opened wide

To step into the ultimate

Grab and Let go

Putting things in perspective

What causes what?

Why are things the way they are?

What is the right order of things?

What is the way and mechanism of change?

All of these questions are answered at a place. This place is one's yet un-conquered territory.

A glimpse of one's being.
Shining with all it's glory.

A totality.

A homecoming.

At the revelation of this light,
The activities of the mind are seen and understood as happening because of ignorance.

The reality is alive and conscious.
In a way impossible to conceive for the mind. The role and life of mind is finished here. It is seen simply as a battle of borrowed concepts of which absolutely everything is false.

This revelation of one's self,
As the very reality.
Sets things in right order.

Tao te Ching has beautifully explained this order as

Consciousness
Virtue
Humanity
Justice
Etiquette

We see that how from a natural course of action we downgrade step by step at the place where 'gestures' become more important than a real aspiration for sincerity, honest and truthfulness.

And how again one,
When troubled by his own 'craft' and the artful ways he has learnt to deceive himself
Seeks a way out of that

How one longs to achieve a virtue
And also understands that the virtuous action is a natural outcome of the consciousness and not a product of cultivation or learning

One then is ready to drop all efforts
And touch this ultimate sweetness

A birthright

One's destiny.

Curtains come down.

Play gets over.

The false is over.

The real dawns.

From religion to responsibility

Just by declaring oneself to be non religious is not a done deal. In many ways, during upbringing one takes on the thought construct and attitudes that are a result of millions of years of experience that humanity has gone through. If one closely observes their own psyche, it is not very difficult to identify the elements such as 'hoping' which are a product of religious thinking.
To be free from religion is not just giving up the rituals, but it is giving birth to individuality. There is an enormous amount of work involved and as J.K. puts it is 'not a layman's task'. And one interesting thing to note here is those who have a certain religious tone are seen to have easily gone beyond it. And those who once were totally atheistic are seen to understand the real meaning of god.
What a wonderland is this universe!

Arising of thought

There are schools of philosophy built on the human condition

Yet the simplest of the simple has remained as the most obscure.

The one building a construct upon construct is considered learned

Yet he is nothing but a fool.

The answer to everything is not an answer

But a witnessing and coming into light of the questioner itself.

What is that, through which one identifies this as this and that as that

That name giver: That itself needs to be questioned.

Using that, one is looking outside

But not really looking at that-itself.

Instead of asking a question-what is this and what is that,

If one steps back one step and realizes: Oh there appears to be a mind that thrives on questions.

Then, one, not feeding the mind with more concepts, witnesses the rise of the mind itself.

Mind looks at mind and through this looking it subsides-vanishes

Leaving behind a clarity: A wordless understanding.

When they asked Buddha what did you achieve?

He says "Nothing. But I lost much."

This most profound- the nameless- wordless-

When established in one- Gives rise to the most intelligent words ever.

This apparent nothingness - completes one's quest now and forever.

This lowest of the low- is the highest of the highest

This description-less has the quality of a dark night and that of a bright diamond

Where the total abandonment and total involvement meet

The eternal and ever new at the same time

How many glories can one sing of this that is as lowly as a particle of dust.

Blessed be all those who long

Fruitful be the journey of those who advance

Stabilized eternally be those who catch a glimpse

Glory be upon those who be

Why did those
Who understood
Become ecstatic?

Just one drop of this
Wipes out all the ideas
One has about oneself

So what could those
Who are immersed in this
Do anything else
But whirl?
